2024/2025 Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Programmes have started.
Ascent Health Medical Centre has enrolled in the Vaccination Subsidy Scheme (VSS). Eligible members of the public could receive FREE doses of seasonal influenza vaccines at our clinic from 4th October.
Non-eligible members could also receive seasonal influenza vaccine at our clinic with charges.
Seasonal influenza is an acute illness of the respiratory tract caused by influenza viruses. Seasonal influenza can cause serious illnesses in high-risk individuals, such as the elderly, children under 5 years of age, pregnant women, and people with underlying medical conditions. It also affects healthy individuals. Seasonal influenza vaccine is one of the most effective means to prevent seasonal influenza and its complications. All persons aged 6 months or above, except those with known contraindications, are recommended to receive the SIV for personal protection.
